In 1939, Mr. Frank Potter was encouraged by Mr. and Mrs. Austin T. Levy to write down stories he had heard while living in this town. Many of them were memories narrated to Mr. Potter by local residents. The original manuscript was copied on a mimeograph and distributed locally. Over the years, the quality of the book deteriorated which made it difficult to read. I’ve retyped and indexed it into this spiral bound book. This book is a great view of olden times in Burrillville. |
